Awards
My work has been awarded with several prizes and awards including the Young Talent Prize 2018 from the Dutch Neuroscience Meeting. I won two best abstract awards. In 2015 I won the best phd article award for the department of Psychology at Leiden University. My blog 'Facebook depression' was the best read blog on www.leidenpsychologyblog.nl in 2013 and currently has over 98.000 hits.
Open Science
I am a proponent of Open Science. Whenever possible I share data, analysis scripts, tasks and presentations. Furthermore, I am an active participant in the discussion about policy and the transition towards Open Science. I published an opinion piece in De Volkskrant and I participate in discussions with different stakeholders such as Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO), politicians, publishers and scientists.
Conference Presentations
In total I participated in over than 25 national (Dutch) and international conferences. I have chaired multiple sessions at different conferences. I have given a total of 20 conference talks, of which 4 invited, and presented multiple posters.
Peer Review & Grant Review
Ad hoc peer reviewer for over 20 journals including Social Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience, Child Development and Psychological Science. Full overview at my Publons Public Reviewer profile. Invited grant reviewer for multiple grant agencies including the European Research Council.
